No it doesn't. To cut anything wider, you have to double it over, creasing your paper. However the bar going across does a great job holding the paper still. I wouldn't expect much though, as I wouldn't exactly call it a heavy duty device by any means. The guides are 12.25 inches apart, so no. Unfold just for larger pieces of paper. 
WHICH SCORING BLADE CAN I USE WITH THIS? I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT BAD LUCK WITH THAT FEATURE! It is very easy to see where this blade will cut and is extremely accurate. Stable in folded position to use as smaller trimmer. This one didn't cut straight. You have to hold down the bar to keep paper firmly. On my old one there is a guide wire in the middle of the plastic piece that moves up and down to hold the paper. Not sure what is meant by wire guide. 
No, this does not come with magnets! 
View cart for details. It's a rotary cutter and does not need to be replaced for a very long time. The way it's designed it sharpens as it cuts so it never needs replacing. THANKS! There are no magnets. It comes on when you lift the bar then goes off after a while. Works fine for this--that's all I can say! The paper moves easily unless you hold tight on the bar to hold it in place. It seems we're having technical difficulties. 
All Rights Reserved. It's VERY pricey and something you'd need a designated cutting station for since it's also very heavy. Other wise you should invest in a heavy duty paper trimmer with the arm that comes down to cut. (At the price, I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, but I sorta was.). (It's about an inch in diameter) I also found a scoring blade and a scallop blade. It feels like it's targeted to pictures or a couple sheets of paper. Im very happy with it. Perfect for long straight cuts. However, I have not had any problems with paper shifting at any time. I usually cut 4-5 sheets of 22lb paper at a time.

Cut any Paper you like & the way like, its manual not automatic & you feed the paper to your desired cut measurement/line marked on the board in inches or part thereof. Paper clamp and smudge guard hold paper in place while protecting your document from fingerprints. There is no wire with this cutter. I hope that this has been of some help to you. I have not tried one, though, and they seem to be currently sold out. No there is no switch for the light. A few decorative blades are also available to insert. The blades are very easy to replace. The blade would grow too dull otherwise. Since it doesn't fold in the middle, if you push too hard on the cutting end, it gets tippy/wobbly because that portion remains unsupported by the folded portion. The side guide helps me make sure I have the paper aligned and now just slightly off. Something went wrong. Buy it for the size and cutting. You use the "light line" to ensure the cut is where you want it and the rulers on the edge to cut whatever measurement you need. I just wedge a piece of cardstock between the connectors so I don't run the batteries downs.

Yes, like all other trimmers, the very top and very bottom have guides to hold paper squarely on the trimmer.

A Fiskars 12 Inch LED SureCut review will not answer these 13 questions. This was not the quality we expected so we returned it. I have not used for for chipboard, but it certainly should be up to the task ! Simply lower the cut rail and an illuminated cut-line indicates exactly where the blade will cut your paper or photo for accuracy that other trimmers can't match. When you're done, the cut rail locks down securely and the lightweight base folds in half for easy storage and on-the-go crafting convenience. If you unfold it is a little better at getting cuts more square but I'm still looking for the perfect cutter. I understand the CutterPillar blade does not need replacing, at least not "for years." While pricier the blade stays sharp longer. Every Fiskar trimmer I've had never seems to cut square for me. 
Another thing is you need to hold down on the bar good or paper will move. I've never seen such a thing; however, in my experience, titanium blades last much longer than steel blades. no, but the fold down bar holds the paper firm & in place. 
As a side note, do NOT pay extra for the light on this cutter. I used it to cut strips with.great accuracy.

If you think if this more as a "crafty" tool than an "industrial" one, perhaps that will give the guidance you are looking for. This one is worth the cost. Hope this helps! I am not aware of any magnets. I am one of the BIGGEST Fiskars fans there is, but this light is completely useless - COMPLETELY useless. The blade eventually dulls and needs to be replaced. 
I found the price prohibitive on the latter.

I can only tell you that I use only the blade that came with it--and mostly for one or two sheets of paper or to trim a photo. But,but as long as you hold it down securely on the other side, even folded, it does sit flat and level. Hello, I'm not sure because I returned it and got a different brand. I use stampin up trimmer or smaller notebook insert from fiskers trimmer with these markings. As with most cutters (with the exception of guillotine cutters), this cutter is meant to cut 12 x 12 paper. Yes it does. I can tell you that the light that was supposed to guide the cutting blade is basically just a dim LED work lightnot so much like a laser line to guide the cut. (Oh by the wayI was dissapointed with the cutting light feature. All cutters will need blade replacement and/or sharpening. I just purchased Fiskar's top model - at least as I understand it - called the ProCision Rotary Bypass Trimmer.
